Probably the best thing I have read all week , Natasha. And we need a second edition ( and a third and a fourth of these)

Thoroughly enjoyed going down memory lane with this list of films. Thank you for the humour and laughs as well as the questions you've asked that I would have otherwise not delved into too much.

I am loving the alternate QSQT ending❤️. And So Gaya! God! I am always amazed that ek do teen became a bigger hit than So Gaya. It is a song that has aged so well. And I was rooting for Chunky Pandey in that film 😁

Most redeeming review of said movies I have ever read - you made them grow forth, the way the filmmakers never could. Goes to show that "the reader takes from the art, what she wants to" holds true for movies too!

"Sometimes, when I worry about the resonance and value of my own work, I remember this song and reconcile to my fate as a failed artist who could not sync her rhythm with the pulse of the people." - if only you could measure our pulse, Natasha.

Imagine coming away from Tezaab... only impressed with Chunky Pandey's driving skills

But that song was something else along with the picturization of city roads by night. It was lovely. I think I remember only that one bit from the whole movie.

Also, she mentioned her mentors here. I would love to read more about the mentors who've inspired my mentor!

Love this 🙌🏽

Disastrous film endings leave me sad, love how you have given them more fitting conclusions.

Yes please to more lists of lessons from cinemas of decades past too!

My heart is sinking thinking of such brilliant story ideas being left in public domain (without copyright), soon to be copied by trashy production houses. Brilliant, your piece inspires me watch cinema, however insipid. I wonder when was it last that I watched a film.

I loved your list. Lagaan, the movie that could have been made, would not only have Bhuvan calling Kachra by his 'proper' name, but also have Gauri being the 10th player. Such amazing messages could have been conveyed through a couple of tweaks.
